REBASE
REBASE is a database of type 2 restriction enzymes. Restriction enzymes are used to cut DNA sequences at a particular site. A site is a particular sequence of bases. REBASE is updated monthly.

REBASE is accessed by the EMBOSS software suite. See the command descriptions for rebaseextract, recoder, redata, remap, restover, restrict, showseq in the EMBOSS documentation.
